Antalya City Blog introduce new hashtags for Antalya's promotion
By Antalya City Blog10:20 PMAntalya, Antalya City Blog, blog, blogger, explore antalya, hashtag, Holiday, internet, Love Antalya, sm, social media, tourism, travel, Turkey, vacation12 comments
Antalya City Blog introduce new hashtags for Antalya's promotion. These are #LoveAntalya & #ExploreAntalya
No major campaign today is complete without a hashtag.
What Exactly Is A Hashtag?
A hashtag is a word with a “#” symbol in front of it. In the social media world, these words become a search function, that connects the searcher to conversations and content based on the hashtag they’ve looked up. Even emojis can now be used as searchable hashtags on particular networks (Instagram and Twitter). Hashtags are often used for novelty or to group content for others to find. On various networks, you can click on a hashtag, and it will bring up all posts that contain that specific hashtag.
A timeline of the evolution of the hashtag:
- August 2007 – Hashtags first proposed for use on Twitter
- July 2009 – Twitter officially embraces the hashtag linking to a list of all tweets for anything proceeded by #
- January 2011 – Instagram add hashtag support
- Spring 2011 – Twitter plays a role in the Civil unrest of the Arab Spring. #Bahrain becomes one of the most used hashtags of all time
- October 2011 – Google+ begins automatically linking all hashtags in posts
- January 2013 – Half of Superbowl ads include a hashtag
- June 2013 – Facebook begins supporting hashtags
- October 2013 – The Advertising Standards Authority (UK) and the FTC (USA) state that adverts made via a celebrities Twitter page should incorporate the hashtag “#ad
The purpose of Hashtags
Hashtags can help make the connection in the consumer's mind between a social media concept and a brand and its campaigns such as an offer or regular content. Some social media users follow specialist hashtags so they can help a little in increasing visibility. So, our new hashtags can help to promote Antalya on social media.

Antalya City Blog's Surprises Continue. After Dutch Social Media Specialist Peter Langela, Austrian Business Consultant in Marketing & Advertising Ernst Koch, Editor of GM Tourism and Management Magazine Sabriye Çay, and Famous Professional Animation Manager and Tourism Manager Eren Güngör, Antalya City Blog Presents the Special Interview with Emmy van Woggelum who is the Customer Care Manager for a Dutch Tour Operator. We Asked Her A Few Questions About Antalya and Our Blog.
My name
is Emmy and I am from Holland, in Holland I live in the city of The Hague what’s also located at the sea. I
graduated a long time ago as social worker but this season I am in Turkey for a
long business trip. The most important thing for me in life is to be happy in
whatever you do!
The first thing that’s come to mind is the
airport! Because I am travelling a lot in Turkey for work I come in Antalya a
lot because of the international airport. Many guests arrive here for Antalya,
Kemer, Belek, Alanya, Side etc. Furthermore because in Holland I live in a
similar city as Antalya I immediately feel at home when I arrive! I love the
shopping for example in Terra City and love to swim at the beach of Konyaaltı.
What is your favorite activity in Antalya?
Where
to begin….. There are many. As mentioned before I really love to shop in
Antalya. Going to the beach at Konyaaltı is also one of my favorites. Saying
that I also really enjoy walking along the beautiful coastline in Lara.
Do you have a memorable moment ever in Antalya?
Yes definitely, one time a spent a whole night talking
sitting at the jetty in the harbor. I enjoyed the view and company so much that
I will never forget that. Looking over the sea with the moonlight in it is so romantic
and when you look behind you see all the lights of the city.
Many times I stayed in Lara but i have never actually seen the waterfalls, probably when i will visit next time i will go there. Also on my to do list is walking through the Kaleiçi during the day! Now i’ve only visited at night because of work but next time i will make some free time to visit it during the day.
What do you think about Antalya City Blog?
I think, Antalya City Blog is a great initiative
and definetly something that promotes Antalya throught the media that's used
the most these day; the Internet! So keep up the good work and make sure you
are featured as much possible at other websites.

Special Interview with Eren Güngör

Antalya City Blog's Surprises Continue. After Dutch Social Media Specialist Peter Langela, Austrian Business Consultant in Marketing & Advertising Ernst
Koch, and Editor of GM Tourism and Management Magazine Sabriye
Çay, Antalya City Blog Presents the Special Interview with Eren Güngör who is the Famous Professional Animation Manager and Tourism Manager. We Asked Him A Few Questions About Antalya and Our Blog.
In 1987, I met with tourism. My Antalya adventure began in 1989, and is
still ongoing, as you see, as well as full swing. I was born for the animation.
I still miss the scenes. Hearing applause brings pleasure people. I have
started my career in ALDA Club Beldibi and later worked in various facilities
such as Simena Holiday Village, Novotel Turquoise, Sunrise Resort, Hillside
Beach Club, and Kaya Group Hotels in Antalya. In 1996, I was assistant
presenter at Hulya Avsar Show on Show TV.
Firstly, I became EVP, and the following year I became GM. Of course firsts
are always the unforgettable. The hotel is in a mountain, Dorukaya. And this
time, I continue my career as a GM at Marco Polo, Kemer Resort, again Sunrise
Resort, and finally at the Titanic Beach Resort.
What kind of difficulties or problems are there in your sector?
I think the problems of our profession at the same rate to tourism. There
is the problem of trained staff in the sector. Especially young people no
longer want to be animators. If you knew one or two languages, even if you get
a little better perspective on life would you choose to remain unemployed for 6
months?
In the past, animation was easy to make money, but now it is very
difficult. The reason is hidden within the all-inclusive system, because of
this, bars and discos do not make business with animators. Moreover, animation
team always spends the money.
But if you ask me;
F & B + Entertainment = Customer satisfaction. We learned it in this way in the university.
Everything is changing and developing in the world, also has its price.
F & B + Entertainment = Customer satisfaction. We learned it in this way in the university.
Everything is changing and developing in the world, also has its price.
What is the best thing to do in Antalya according to you?
There are so many things to do in Antalya which style you like, in fact, the pattern would be more accurate. This place is a museum inside the city's history-steeped is not even a city.
What does not grab anything from waterfalls to hike in the mountains? In fact be surprised to look anywhere in this city is rich in scenery. Need to bear in mind that other Tekirova another beautiful arch, Manavgat another, and Alanya is quite beautiful. The problem here that I think is already starting where you are and how you will promote the city.
How do you see the future of Antalya?
Antalya has a very bright future that we see already. If you ask why, there is a thriving tourism and figures show it. The facilities are already proving that life here, I guess. If Antalya is not a flourishing place, it probably is not much investment.
When you look at the city center of Antalya, you can see the difference of Antalya from other cities. In addition, there are super-new activities in Antalya.
Antalya City Blog is very successful. Words cannot explain the success of
Antalya City Blog. Therefore, it gives me and all other Antalians pleasure to
follow Antalya City Blog.
Thanks to Eren Güngör for taking the time to answer these questions for Antalya City Blog (Teşekkürler)

Social Networking: 9 Social Network Tips for Bloggers
By Antalya City Blog9:29 AMblogger, blogging tips, social media, social network, social network tips, social network tips for bloggers10 comments
What should you do to have a more successful blog? The answer of this question is managing Social Network. Here is the nine social network tips for bloggers.
1) Use Social Media Sharing Icons
Make it as simple as possible for your blog readers to connect with you on various social media platforms. They shouldn’t have to hunt around to find your Twitter handle, but should be able to click on a button and be taken right to your profile. Bonus points if your social media icons reflect the overall design or feel of your blog.
2) Recognize Effective Social Media Sites
There are a lot of social networking sites that are available today. It will be difficult to maintain accounts to all these sites so it is important to analyze which social networking sites is most popular to your target audience.
This way, you will be able to concentrate managing your accounts to sites where you will get greatest benefit from. Try your hand at
- Facebook with its Pages, Events & groups
- Google+ with its +Pages, help & Trending Topics
- Twitter for its hashtags & popularity
- LinkedIn for highly targeted audience
- Pinterest if your blog is more about photos
3) Use your blog name as your username whenever possible
Promote your personal brand by consistently using your blog’s name for your Twitter handle, StumbleUpon name, Pinterest name and so on. Then, people don’t have to wonder about your blog’s name — it’s right there. Also, people will remember you easily across platforms, which is key as you develop up your online community.
4) Be generous with other bloggers
Promote other bloggers’ content, and hopefully they’ll return the favor. You can’t simply blast your own content anyway — you need some variety in every social media stream. So why not check out what your fellow bloggers are posting and give them a retweet, a share or a repin whenever you can. And don’t forget to reciprocate and share content from bloggers who share yours.
5) Choose Quality over Quantity
Do not follow everybody on social media sites. You should follow people who will support your blog through comments and most overrated people in their own fields.
6) Provide an RSS Feed Icon and Stream Your RSS Feed on Social Media
A lot of people are using RSS feeds to grab articles from sites they trust so that they can stream them all in one place. At this point, even Google+ profiles can be streamed over RSS meaning that the potential for exposure via RSS feed is extremely high. Providing the option for an RSS feed not only allows people to stream your content, but also provides the opportunity for website owners that find value or interest in your blog to integrate your blog into their website, providing you with more exposure and even external site links to your blog.
7) Trade Posts with Other Blogs/Guest Blogging
Every once and a while, it's nice to throw a new voice into your blog and allow someone else to produce content for you. Not only does it benefit you, but it benefits the guest bloggers by letting them creating a back link to their website. It's a win, win for everyone. You get new content, they get a link. And the same works from the other direction. Submit requests or email bloggers and request the chance to guest blog for them. The more popular the blog, the better your chances that you will acquire new readers and increase your blog traffic (which for some of us means increased revenue). If you're not willing to give away back links, you can either "no-follow" the site link to the guest blogger (which is pretty disrespectful and bad for networking well) or you can pursue guest blogging on other websites yourself. Just remember that you're writing for someone elses blog, so you should not duplicate the content you've written for them on your own website. The same applies to writers posting on your website, be greatful for the free content but make sure that you agree beforehand that the content must be exclusive to your blog only.
8) Lock Readers from Search Engines
Add a button in your blog that will allow people to connect with you via the different social media sites. Like you can add a Facebook like button for your FB Page, a +1 button for you +Page, follow button for Twitter, etc.
This will allow people coming to your blog from
search engines to connect with you on your social sites so that they
keep returning. Consider some social buttons like Antalya City Blog has.
9) Allow Content Sharing
Add share buttons for all major social networks on each blog post of your site, allowing readers to share content they love onto their own networks, thus attracting more audience to your blog.
This will be
a big help in increasing the readership of your blog as these social
networking sites has a huge audience base, so the more your posts get
shared, the wider audience it will reach.
