Whether you travel by bus or taxi, the info here should ensure you have a smooth and easy transition between the airport and your hotel or apartment in the city.

All in the luxury and comfort of a gleaming chauffeur-driven S or E-Class Mercedes Benz.

The stylish and so-easy way to get from the airport to your final destination in Antalya.

  • Professional drivers offer a truly door-to-door transfer, waiting for you as you exit arrivals to get you on your way as soon as possible.
  • The service doesn’t stop there. The driver will make sure that the check-in at your hotel or apartment goes smoothly and, if you want to hit the town straight away, will wait while you drop off your bags before whisking you off to the final stop.
  • With its fleet of Mercedes Benz S and E-Class Sedans and Minibuses, Cars Deluxe can accommodate any size of party from 1 to 50.

Other Ways
By AeroBus
This is an airport bus service that leaves from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 and travels directly to the centre of Antalya. When you leave the airport, head straight to the bus stop and you’ll see a bus, with Aerobús on the side.

By Taxi
Travelling by taxi will be a little expensive way of reaching the city centre from the airport, but probably the fastest and most comfortable by Antalya Airport Taxi.

Antalya Airport: the Best Airport in Europe

Antalya Airport is operated in Turkey's primary holiday destination located on the country's Mediterranean coast. The airport is big and modern, built to accommodate the millions of passengers who come to Turkey's Mediterranean beaches in summer. It handled nearly 18.8 million passengers in 2008, more than 16.2 million of which were international passengers. The airport has two international terminals and one domestic terminal. Based on the projection from data from summer months, it currently has an estimated capacity of accommodating up to 35 million passengers/year, theoretically. In July 2011 the airport was selected 'Best Airport in Europe' (10-25 million passenger category) by Airports Council International (AIC).

As it is known, terminal operations require high technology, know how and service at national and international standards. The requirements of international organizations like ICAO, ECAC, IATA, ACI and the regulations of SGHM, DHMİ, Security and Customs Administrations show the interdisciplinary management requirements for terminal services.
Time is always the most limited resource in the aviation industry and it should be managed properly with efficient coordination.  Furthermore, it is one of the industries in which the technological developments are rapidly implemented. Fast reactions are required in face of developments.

The customer profile of the industry is highly diverse and they have high expectations. Integrated services generation is mandatory to fulfill the expectations. The interactions between processes with diverse resources should be properly designed and managed effectively.

The natural and social environment are negatively affected because of aviation activities. That's why investments should be made to eliminate or minimize these negativities and ensure their sustainability.

All the mentioned requirements have directed the institutions to the need to perceive and apply new management systems. Our institution has made its aim to generate constantly improving services focused on people, sensitive to the natural and social environment with high quality standards and has finalized its work towards that aim by getting certified under integrated 4 management systems.

The institution has finished its work on "Airport Carbon Accreditation" initialized by the ACI to prevent a climate change by various toxic gases that cause the ozone layer to thin down and received an accreditation certificate.

It has shown its determination to eliminate or minimize its damages to living beings, water, soil and air by meeting the requirements of "Green Airport Institution" initialized by SGHM in the industrial level.

ICF Airports differs from its competitors with the importance it puts on passenger safety, extraordinary service quality, investments in leading technologies, its educated and experienced personnel and its mutually beneficial and friendly relations with its business associates while offering terminal services with this responsibility and awareness.

Milestones:
  • In 2002 it was ranked as the 84th busiest airport worldwide and 25th in Europe
  • In 2003 the airport handled 10 million passengers, representing an increase of 78% since 1998
  • The Airport Terminal serves about 40% of all tourists coming to Turkey by air
  • The number of staff at the airport is nearly 2000 (2005 data)
  • According to ACI (Airport Council International) statistics, Antalya Airport International Terminal ranks amongst the top 100 busiest airports worldwide since 2001
  • According to ACI (Airport Council International) statistics, Antalya Airport International Terminal ranked as the second busiest terminal on the Mediterranean coast line after Majorca in 2005
  • According to ACI (Airport Council International) statistics, Antalya Airport ranked 30th in 2005, 2008 and 2009 for international passenger traffic
  • In 2007, Antalya airport was Europe's 25th busiest airport, handling 17,795,523 passengers, an increase of 20.5% over 2006
  • In 2008, AYT was the world's 30th busiest airport in terms of international passengers traffic. In 2009, AYT also held its 30th spot in that category among world airports, with 15,210,733 international passengers. By the end of 2010, it rose to the 23rd spot with over 18 Million international passengers.

Antalya, brand of luxury yacht-making

Turkish yacht-makers operating in the Mediterranean resort city of Antalya are becoming more and more renowned worldwide after selling luxury yachts to globally known figures, such as Formula One driver David Coulthard, Kuwait's Al-Sabah family and several other rich businessmen from around the world.

Boat builder companies first started operations at Antalya Free Zone eight years ago, and sold over 130 luxury yachts in this period, Zeki Gurses, top official of the free zone, told the AA on Wednesday.
"They are now building 50-60 luxury yachts a year. Antalya has become a global brand in yacht building," Gurses said.

A significant part of these yachts were exported mostly to Italy, France, United States, Middle East countries, the Netherlands, Britain and Germany, Gurses said.

He said yacht builders in Antalya had famous customers such as Formula One driver David Coulthard, Kuwaiti Amir Al-Sabah's family members, owners of British and German supermarket chains, whose names were kept secret, and famous American yacht manufacturer Genmar's chairman Irwin Jacobs, who ordered 300 mahogany yachts for the U.S. market which were valued at 150 million USD.

Following reports that the impact of the global economic crisis has lessened, orders for luxury boats and the manufacturing of yachts have increased at a free zone in Antalya, Turkey’s Mediterranean resort city.

In the first five months of 2010, yacht builders in Antalya sold seven luxury yachts to clients from France, Norway, the Cayman Islands, the Virgin Islands and Panama. These exports brought $27.4 million to Turkey, yacht builders said. Seven more boats will be launched in a couple of weeks from shipyards in Antalya, free zone director Zeki Gürses stated. “Our goal is to reach an export target of 25 luxury yachts by the end of this year. Turkey has become a country that has a say in yacht building,” he added. Yacht builders in Antalya have reached a total trade volume of $560 million over the past 10 years.

Antalya - Demre Myra - The Home of Santa Claus

Myra was a leading city of the Lycian Union and superseded Xanthos in early Byzantine period to become the capital of the Lycia Union. The ruins of Myra are situated about 2 km north of todays Demre, on the Finike - Kas road. Today this large plain is almost covered with fields stuffed full of tomatoes. In ancient times this area was also probably farmed extensively, for trade purposes with the interior parts of the Lycian Union.

Myra is well known for its amphitheatre (the largest one in Lycia) and the plethora of rock-cut tombs carved in the cliffs above the ancient theatre of Myra. The St. Nicholas Church is a must see and is a short distance from the site of Myra on the outskirts of Demre and is really worth the trip. Inside the church is the sarcophagus of St. Nicholas although his remains were taken to Italy in the 19th century. The earliest church of St. Nicholas was built in the 6th century AD probably over St. Nicholas tomb. Later the church was rebuilt in the 9th century (probably rebuilt after Arab attacks). It was further rebuilt in 1042 under the patronage of Constantine of Byzantine Empire and a monastery was added at that time. Czar Alexander II of Prussia bought the building in 1863 and began to have it restored, but the renovation was never completed. Excavations and restorations were done during the 1960s and continue even today from the early 1990s. St.Nicholas Church, Myra, TurkeyThe churchs floor is of beautiful types of luxury marble mosaic floor tilings and there are some remains of wall paintings. A marble sarcophagus was reused to bury the bones of the St. Nicholas himself but actually were stolen earlier and taken to Bari, Italy.

St.Nicholas was a popular bishop at Myra in the 4th century AD, born in Patara between 260 and 280 AD. St. Nicholas was famous for his miracles and was known for his kindness. His parents died of the plague and he was left as a wealthy young man. St. Nicholas was known for his charitable nature and humility. Several legends about him have been based on his kind and giving nature and have led to the development of Santa Claus. Today, Noel of the Christianity is rooted from St. Nicholas of Myra.

Trip to Kekova - Kaleköy - Üçağız

Kekova, also named Caravola (Lycian: Dolichiste), is a small Turkish island near Kaş (ancient Antiphellos) district of Antalya province which faces the villages of Kaleköy (ancient Simena) and Üçağız (ancient Teimioussa). Kekova has an area of 4.5 km² and is uninhabited.

The Kekova region is 260 km² and encompasses the island of Kekova, the villages of Kaleköy and Üçağız and the four ancient towns of Simena, Aperlae, Dolchiste and Teimioussa.

Lycian Tombs

Kaleköy (ancient Simena) is a Lycian site on the Turkish coast. It is a small village with the partly sunken ruins of Aperlae and a castle. Access to the village is possible only by sea.

Üçağız

Üçağız (ancient name, Teimioussa) is a village one km from Kaleköy, north of a small bay by the same name, with the ruins of Teimioussa to the east. The name "Üçağız" means "three mouths", referring to the three exits to open sea.
