On Jan. 21, Turkish doctors for the first time in Turkey a full face transplant performed at a Turkish man.
The face of a 45-year-old donor, was used to the 19-year-old Ugur Acar a new look. The 19 year old boy running around all his life maimed because his face was almost completely burned by a fire blanket, when he was a baby 40 days old.
The operation was conducted by a special team at the Akdeniz (Mediterranean) University Hospital in Antalya.

Turkish surgery team also performed Turkey's first double arm
transplant in September 2010 and the world's first womb transplant from a
cadaveric donor in August 2011 in Antalya City.
