Antalya City Blog Attended the 14th National Tourism Congress in Kayseri

Antalya City Blog was in  Kayseri for the 14th National Tourism Congress. Last week, Antalya City Blog's successful author Ismail Karayün  was in Kayseri to follow developments in Congress.

The 14th National Tourism Congress

The 14th National Tourism Congress was held between 05-08 December 2013 at Erciyes University in Kayseri, and hosted by the Faculty of Tourism. This conference is unique in design with a focus on Best Practices and examples of successful tourism businesses , as well as offering practical advice on how to succeed in the cultural tourism industry. It will also provide delegates essential industry information such as ideas on training, product development and marketing.

Prof. Dr. Şeyhmus Baloglu, Prof. Dr. Yuksel Ekinci, Prof. Dr. Dogan Gursoy,  Prof. Fevzi Okumuş, and Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Uysal participated as an invited speaker.

According to Ismail Karayün "The Congress theme is "Innovation in Tourism", respectively. However, there was no a lot of work in the name of innovation. We might need to wait a bit for the innovation and productivity. So it would be wrong to say that a congress with the theme coherent. However, in general it was a prestigious congress and it was a good opportunity for promotion of Kayseri".

A Spectacular Concert by Fritz Kaas and Akdeniz Mızıkacıları in Antalya Old Town

On Saturday (September 28) at 20:00 there was a wonderful concert in a historic mansion in the Old Town of Kaleici by Fritz Kaas and Akdeniz Mızıkacıları Musical Group.

Of course, there was a factor that makes this concert even more special for us, Our blog's author Ismail Karayun is also a member of Akdeniz Mızıkacıları Musical Group. As well as it is privilege for us to listen other members of the group and famous German pianist Fritz Kaas.

Let's give a little information about the Akdeniz Mızıkacıları Musical Group: 

Akdeniz Mızıkacıları Musical Group was founded in 2008 under the leadership of Filiz Angay Kutluk and Hakan Kutluk. The Group has a great repertoire such as Latin, Country, Jazz, Blues, Turkish Pop and Classical Music.  Most of the members in the Akdeniz Mızıkacıları Musical Group are university faculty members in Antalya. After Filiz and Hakan Kutluk, Evren Tercan, İsmail Karayün, and Selen Nar joined the group. They make music as a hobby, as a volunteer on behalf of society, and without earning money.

Antalya art-lovers came to the concert with the many foreign guests.

Concert began with great performance of Fritz Kaas, and continued with peerless performance of Akdeniz Mızıkacıları.

We decided to introduce you Akdeniz Mızıkacıları (Mediterranean Town Musicians) Musical Group which is Antalya's the most shining musical group recently. 

Music group is basically a group of five people. 

They make music as a hobby, as a volunteer on behalf of society, and without earning money.

They give concerts on their places in Kaleici (Oldtown) on the last Saturday in every month.

This month there will be also an amazing concert on September 28, and the group will present their performance along with German pianist Fritz KAAS.
