The 50th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival

The Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is one of the deepest-rooted festivals in Europe and Asia, and one of the oldest and the longest running film festivals in Turkey.

 Festival is organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and Antalya Culture and Arts Foundation (AKSAV), the festival will be held between the dates of 4-11 October and will take place for the 50^th time.  

The record number of Golden Orange awards of the 50th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival will be determined by the jury under the presidency of Türkan Şoray who is one of the most famous Turkish film actresses known as “Türkan Sultan” is head of the jury at 50th Golden Orange 

Eleni Karaindrou is in the jury who is a Greek composer, and best known for scoring the films of director Theo Angelopoulos. Karaindrou has a long history of writing for film and theatre; to date, some 18 feature films, 13 plays and 10 television series have featured her music. Although most of her work has been with Greek directors, she has also collaborated with Chris Marker, Jules Dassin and Margarethe von Trotta. Eleni Karaindrou has been associated with Theodoros Angelopoulos since 1982.

The 49th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival

The Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is one of the deepest-rooted festivals in Europe and Asia, and one of the oldest and the longest running film festivals in our country. 

Films will be shown with the theme "Humor, Opposition and Democracy”.

Festival is organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and Antalya Culture and Arts Foundation (AKSAV), the festival will be held between the dates of 6-12 October and will take place for the 49^th time.  

The main theme of the festival will be reflected in panels, seminars, conferences and workshops. The festival’s street performances will be designed to reflect the voice and the world of the “other.”

One of the master directors of world cinema István Szabó will be the jury president for the International Feature-Length Film Contest at the 49th Golden Orange Film Festival.

István Szabó

Having won the Oscar Award for Best Foreign Language Film and the Award for Best Screenplay in Cannes in 1982 with his film “Mephisto”, István Szabó is regarded as one of the most preeminent directors not only in Hungarian cinema but also in world cinema.

The record number of Golden Orange awards of the 49th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival will be determined by the jury under the presidency of Hülya Avşar who is credited and praised for her successful works ranging from cinema to television and from music to theatre and her versatile artistry.

48th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival

The 48th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is an international film festival to be held in Antalya, Turkey from October 8 to 14, 2011. Films will be shown with the theme "...And the Woman Touched the World" and the Golden Orange selection committees, including the International and National Competition Juries, are entirely composed of female members for the first time in the festival's history.  Competitions were also run for the cancelled 16th (1979) and 17th (1980) editions of the festival with Belated Golden Oranges being presented to the winners.
