Where is Side?

Side is an ancient city in the region of Pamphylia, in what is now Antalya province, on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is now a resort town and one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey, near Manavgat in the province of Antalya. It is located on the eastern part of the Pamphylian coast, which lies about 20 km east of the mouth of the Eurymedon River (Köprüçay). Today, as in antiquity, the ancient city is situated on a small north-south peninsula about 1 km long and 400 m across.

Today, Side has become a popular holiday destination and experiences a new revival. Side offers visitors a great choice of accommodation, as well as traditional shopping, bars and restaurants, and plenty of things to see and do.

  7. Unfortunately I came home from Side on Friday but if I had known about the airshow earlier I would have arranged to come home after the airshow. I was lucky enough to see some of the practice on Wednesday Thursday and Friday.
Are there any further airshows taking place in Side this year, or do you know when there will be one next year? I really would love to see the whole show.
