Antalya is entitled to make the World Horticultural Expo in 2016 which is considered one of the world's most important organizations in the Executive
Committee meeting which was held on October 12 at the Bureau International des
Expositions (BIE) in Paris. During the fair the 5 million tourists expected to
visit Antalya. "Flower and Child" theme Expo is expected to bring revenue
to the city of 4 billion Euros. Antalya 2016, an A1 International Horticultural
Exhibition has already been recognized by the AIPH (International Association
of Horticultural Producers), has applied for recognition by the BIE. The
organizers presented for the first time to the committee the concept of their
horticultural exhibition and reported on the progress made. 130 countries from
all over the world are expected to participate to Expo Antalya 2016. With its 640-km long coastline, its rich history and incredible natural beauty, Antalya has much to offer to its discerning visitor. Aspendos, Termessos, Phaselis, St. Nicholas, Perge, alongside the ruins of the ancient city of Patara and approximately 300 antique sites to visit, the excellent combination of the sea and sun, beaches, breathtaking waterfalls and authentic localities such as Olympos or the Taurus Mountains make Antalya virtually a wonderland.
With its strong economy and the enormous tourism potential, 500,000 beds capacity and 240 five stars hotels, and its addressing 2 billion people by four hour flight distance, Antalya is one of the ideal geographical locations for Expo.
The other organizations will be at Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, Expo Milano 2015 Italy and Antalya 2016 Horticultural Exhibition.

@ cookingvarieties, Hi Wan. Antalya is ready for the Expo with its strong economy and the enormous tourism potential, 500,000 beds capacity and 240 five stars hotels, and its addressing 2 billion people by four hour flight distance, Antalya is one of the ideal geographical locations for Expo.
ReplyDeleteI would like to experience the expo if I get a chance, what a waste as I just got back from Italy about 5 months ago.
ReplyDelete@ Nava.K, Hi, You should come to Antalya, not only for the Expo..
ReplyDeleteWe have just returned to Canada after a two week trip to Turkey that far exceeded our expectations. We hired Kusadasi Tours and we were thrilled with the results. Ender, from private tours in istanbul arranged an itinerary for us at a reasonable price that included domestic flights, all hotels, breakfast and lunches and a guide and driver, as well as all entrance fees. He responded to every email promptly, and assured us that we could call him anytime before and during our trip.

We had 4 days in Istanbul, flew to Cappadocia for 3 days, went south to the Mediterranean and on to Kusadasi and Ephesus. our guide was very professional and before each site, he would give us an overview of the history of the area, and as we toured, he would fill in details of the site.
We can’t say enough good things about our guide. If a problem developed – passports forgotten in a hotel safe, for example - he quietly took care of it and we depended on him for everything.
We loved the Turkish people. They are kind and welcoming and go out of their way to make sure that people enjoy their beautiful country.
we highly suggest !!!
@ istanbul tours, Hi, Istanbul, Kusadası, Cappadocia are very nice places, but Antalya is Turkish Riviera. Next time, you should visit Antalya for an unforgettable holiday.
