Airshow Side is Turkey's the only air show that takes place on a regular basis. The Airshow Side will be held on 26-27 May in Side.
The program of Airshow Side is organized by Side Municipality and organized under the leadership of world's leading aerobatics pilots Ali İsmet Öztürk, includes exciting aerobatic flights, parachute jumps, helicopter model, events such as demonstrtions and solo show of excitement on the Turkish F-16.

Where is Side?
Side is an ancient city in the region of Pamphylia, in what is now Antalya province, on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is now a resort town and one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey, near Manavgat in the province of Antalya. It is located on the eastern part of the Pamphylian coast, which lies about 20 km east of the mouth of the Eurymedon River (Köprüçay). Today, as in antiquity, the ancient city is situated on a small north-south peninsula about 1 km long and 400 m across.
Today, Side has become a popular holiday destination and experiences a new revival. Side offers visitors a great
choice of accommodation, as well as traditional shopping, bars and
restaurants, and plenty of things to see and do.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I came home from Side on Friday but if I had known about the airshow earlier I would have arranged to come home after the airshow. I was lucky enough to see some of the practice on Wednesday Thursday and Friday.
