Organized by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Turk-Korea Culture
Exchange Association and Korea Magazine ART, the Mediterranean
International Art Fair 2012, namely Korean Exhibition, is opened at
Glass Pyramid Congress and Exhibition Center.
Deputy Secretary General of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Cemal
Öcal, Turkish veterans of Korean War, painters and many art-lovers were
at present at the opening ceremony.
In his speech Mr. Öcal stated his pleasures for hosting such an
important event and added “Korea and Turkey have been on strong
relationships in terms of history and they are also blood brotherhood
countries since Korean War. It is certain that this fair will be an
opportunity to enhance international cooperation in various areas of
culture and art. I appreciate who helped this exhibition and also the
artists of each country attended.”
The chairman of Korea Magazine ART, Kwon Young-il also thanked all
artists attending. Then five Turkish veterans of Korean War were awarded
with a medal.
There are 300 paintings of 39 artists from 9 countries such as Korea,
Turkey, Germany, Russia, USA, China, Vietnam, Azerbaijan and France at
the exhibition and will remain open until February 12 at Glass Pyramid
Congress and Exhibition Center.
