Flower Symbol for Expo 2016 Antalya

We choose Flower symbol for Expo 2016 Antalya, let's join us! The first expo of Turkey will be held in Antalya in 2016. For this reason, we started to select a symbol for Expo 2016 Antalya.

Antalya is entitled to make the World Horticultural Expo in 2016 which is considered one of the world's most important organizations in the Executive Committee meeting which was held on October 12 at the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in Paris. During the fair the 5 million tourists expected to visit Antalya. "Flower and Child" theme Expo is expected to bring revenue to the city of 4 billion Euros. Antalya 2016, an A1 International Horticultural Exhibition has already been recognized by the AIPH (International Association of Horticultural Producers), has applied for recognition by the BIE. The organizers presented for the first time to the committee the concept of their horticultural exhibition and reported on the progress made. 130 countries from all over the world are expected to participate to Expo Antalya 2016. 

With its 640-km long coastline, its rich history and incredible natural beauty, Antalya has much to offer to its discerning visitor. Aspendos, Termessos, Phaselis, St. Nicholas, Perge, alongside the ruins of the ancient city of Patara and approximately  300 antique sites to visit, the excellent combination of the sea and sun, beaches, breathtaking waterfalls and authentic localities such as Olympos or the Taurus Mountains make Antalya virtually a wonderland. 

With its strong economy and the enormous tourism potential, 500,000 beds capacity and 240 five stars hotels, and its addressing 2 billion people by four hour flight distance, Antalya is one of the ideal geographical locations for Expo.

The 2nd Antalya Book Fair

The 2nd Antalya Book Fair will be held in Glass Pyramid Sakip Sabanci Expo and Congress Hall, with attendance of 50 publishing houses. 

During fair, there will be 30 events such as interviews, panel discussions and poem performances. 200 authors will meet with their readers.

The 2nd International Guitar Festival

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality works continuously to make Antalya the city of cultural and art. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is organizing the 2^st International Antalya Guitar Festival on 12-16 February at Antalya Culture Center.

Turkey’s recognized masters of the guitar and famous artists from Russia, Ukraine, Austria, and Spain will attend to festival. As a part of festival, conferences and workshops will be held for students. Public concerts can be viewed for free. Antalya has announced its name worldwide with the International Piano Festival, now Guitar Festival will be hosted in Antalya.

The artists are Ahmet Kanneci, Anna Likhacheva, Johann Parlier, Ozcan Dal, Soner Egesel, Ignacio Rodes, Bekir Kucukay, Eren Sualp, and Kamil Cagatay Azat
